Several concertgoers refused to take the Leed when it came to cleaning up their campsites at the Leeds Festival in West Yorkshire, England this past weekend.
Though the festival came to a close on Sunday, several campers opted to take only their memories, leaving behind tents, camping supplies and a whole lot of trash as nearby garbage bins remained relatively empty.
It’s going to take us a while to digest what we saw when we went to help salvage tents and equipment for a refugee charity at the end of Leeds Festival yesterday.

This is just a fraction of it — littering on the grandest scale we’ve ever witnessed.
Utterly appalling. pic.twitter.com/vNWOjIul74
Who needs a bin when you can dump it right outside the tent? pic.twitter.com/U5Bc0y61lF

This sight was particularly horrifying to @MrJackLowe, who shared a harrowing clip of the trashed field on Twitter on Tuesday.
“It’s going to take us a while to digest what we saw when we went to help salvage tents and equipment for a refugee charity at the end of Leeds Festival yesterday,” they wrote, noting that the video only captured “just a fraction of it.”
“Littering on the grandest scale we’ve ever witnessed,” they continued. “Utterly appalling.”
@MrJackLowe wasn’t wrong in this assessment. As his video made the rounds on Twitter, several satellite clips showed the extent of the litter left behind by the festival’s more than 90,000 attendees, ones Twitter, including @monzaNFT, denounced as “f**king disgusting.”
The cleanup crew at the Leeds Festival in Leeds, England, said the scene was ‘utterly appalling’ after a reported 90,000+ attendees left tents and trash all over the festival site when it ended on August 27 pic.twitter.com/MrFdhokTe8

“Who the **** just is leaving all there stuff after a camping festival?” asked @Babs_Lyfe.
“Wonder how many of the crowd that were there will be back out protesting this week with that just stop oil group,” asked @Evsthetractor, denouncing the litterbugs as “dirty messy *******.”
But all questions aside, one thing is certain. As @MADDYGEO so aptly put it: “If you do this **** **** you.”
